Merging project.tx.xml Files from Multiple Projects

Merging project.tx.xml Files from Multiple Projects

To merge two project.tx.xml files do the following: Open each file in its own instance of Wordpad (two copies of Wordpad running simultaneously)

First file: 1. note the number of transmitters listed in line 3 of the file 2. delete the last two lines in the file which are:

</Transmitters>
</TransmitterList>

Second file: 1. note the number of transmitters listed in line 3 of the file 2. delete the first 3 lines in the file which are:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<TransmitterList Version="9.2.4">
<Transmitters count="9">

(your count may be different) - Copy the information from the second file and paste it onto the end of the first file. - Add the two "transmitters count=" values and update the line in the merged file - Then save the merged file. Wordpad will ask if you want to save it in a "text-only format". Say yes. This merged file is named "project.tx.xml"

NOTE: If there are transmitters with the same ID that exist in both of the original files, one of them in the merged file is not going to be used.
