Addition of ITUR-P.528 Model

The latest ITU-R P.528 propagation model has been added to SignalPro.

This Propagation model method is defined for aeronautical mobile and radio navigation services using the VHF, UHF and SHF bands.

The specifications from the ITUR-P.528 are found here https://www.itu.int/rec/R-REC-P.528/en

The standard used was 2021 P.528-5.

Scope within Standard: This Recommendation contains a method for predicting basic transmission loss in the frequency range 100 MHz to 30 GHz for aeronautical services. It provides a step-by-step method to compute the basic transmission loss. The only data needed for this method are the distance between antennas, the heights of the antennas above mean sea level, the frequency, the polarization, and the time percentage.

This Recommendation also gives the calculations for the expected protection ratio or wanted-to-unwanted signal ratio exceeded at the receiver for at least 95% of the time, R(95). This calculation requires the following additional data for both the wanted and unwanted signals: the transmitted power, the gain of transmitting antenna, and the gain of receiving antenna.

This propagation model can be selected under the propagation model GUI for standard models.

The model can be applied to TX and RX sectors as desired, which will be used for pathloss and studies.

Any study can be used with this model.

Note: As per the recommendation, this model requires the transmitter is higher than the receiver.

Inherently this propagation model is intensive when calculating the pathloss, hence with noticeable latency.

We have optimized this model to return results to reduce latency.
