SignalPro Crashing When Opening Project
User should right click on desktop/machine and select New → Shortcut
In the Create Shortcut dialog box, input the following item location (including the quotes):
"C:\Program Files\EDX\SignalPro\bin\SignalPro.exe" -NOLAYERSThen click the Next button.
In this dialog box the user must enter a shortcut name. Input the following (or something similar): SP_CurrentRelease_no_LAYERS
Then click the Finish button.
The NOLAYERS option turns off all the map layers when the application is launched. However, they are still present in hidden form. This application is extremely useful for debugging project start-up issues when run at command line.
Launch this new shortcut and then try to open the project. If this works, then we can determine that there is an issue with one of the map layers.
At this point the user can one by one, turn on the various map layers, checking each to pinpoint the offending layer.
Deleting MXX Files
Navigate to the project folder causing the issue. Then go to the \mxx\ subfolder and delete all the files under the \mxx\ folder.
Re-launch SignalPro as normal and try to open the project.
If that works, there were probably corrupt mxx working files in the mxx folder.
Copy Project Files Into New Folder
If deleting the mxx files did not work, then the user must navigate back to the project folder. Copy all the *.xml files into a new folder.
Point to that folder to open the project.
If this works, there were more than likely other working files in other project subfolders that may have been corrupt.
