Server Selection Criteria

Area, Multipoint, and Route studies are all capable of calculating results across a service area which may include more than one serving base station. When running these studies, it’s necessary to specify how the serving sector for each location should be selected. This is done in the Server Selection Criteria dialog.

You can choose between received power, field strength, raw path loss, or distance as the basis for making server assignments.

The Area Study Display Threshold continues to use dBmW for any method and that the selection you choose affects only the first (primary) server. Once the first server has been selected all other servers (2+) are sorted by received power.
