Map Menu/Map Layers Overview
The primary purpose of EDX software is to perform wireless communication system design and analysis. The results of these analyses are usually shown as a map. The value of the map in interpreting what signal level or performance criterion is present at a given point depends on other map reference information shown on the map along with the signal level or system performance criteria data. The features on the Map menu and via the Map Layer button give you the ability to add information to a map view that will help you interpret your wireless system studies. For a full description of the Map View function please see File Menu in this reference manual. The map view information ranges from terrain and demographic maps, to customer premise equipment and traffic data. The purpose of this chapter is to explain how to add such information to your map views.
