Units
To specify the map units to be displayed on your screen, go to Map>Units dialog box.
Distance and height units
Use the radio toggles to switch between metric and English. NOTE: If you choose English, line widths are still displayed in millimeters.
Coordinates Displayed
Coordinates can be displayed in either latitude/longitude or x and y. Latitude and longitude displays can be given in the following Coordinate display types:
Degrees, minutes and seconds with seconds expressed to 1/100th of a second (about 0.3 meters)
Decimal degrees
Degrees and decimal minutes
For x and y displays, four Coordinate display types are available:
Coordinate system x,y
UTM
Australian Map Grid
British National Grid
The Coordinate system x,y is a non-geographic system, with no reference to a location on earth. It is most commonly used when doing indoor studies and when placement in the real world is not necessary. You can select this system and then go to Map>Current map view to reset the map center point coordinates to 0,0.
UTM and Australian Map Grid coordinates are expressed with three numbers: a UTM zone number and an x,y coordinate pair. The British National Grid coordinate system is unusual because it is expressed as a two-letter string and an x,y coordinate pair. The displayed resolution for these three systems is one meter.
All internal latitude and longitude program calculations are performed using double precision floating point decimal values.
Power and Antenna Gain Units
The Power units drop-down list allows selecting the units used for the transmitter power and effective radiated power. For the Antenna gain type, you can select either decibels relative to an isotropic source (dBi) or decibels relative to dipole source (dBd).
