Copy

Clicking on Edit>Copy or selecting Control+Insert on your keyboard turns your cursor into an upwards facing arrow for making selections. In an open map view, click in the upper left-hand corner of the area you want to select, then drag down to the lower right corner of the area you want and click again. This will make a screen capture of the selection area and copy it to the windows clipboard, where it can be pasted into other documents or programs.
