LTE Study Requirements

In order to run LTE or LTE-PRO studies within SignalPro, you will first need to have access to the LTE Module. If you are interested in the LTE module please contact your account manager for more information.

Once you have access to the LTE module there are a couple of “requirements” or “steps to follow” in order to properly run your LTE studies.

First you will want to bring in all of the relevant geo data for your study area, this is your terrain and or clutter databases. This is common for all projects. You will also want to be sure and set up your transmitter template and mobile/remote unit template for use. Your transmitter sites/sectors need to have the System name/type set to LTE or LTE-PRO. For LTE studies you will need to be sure all active sectors have their system type set to LTE. For LTE-PRO studies you will need to be sure all active sectors have their system type set to LTE-PRO.

You will need to be sure and properly configure your LTE System Details/service area menu under Network Design/ Analysis> LTE. In the dialogue you will need to be sure an point to your already configured channel plan template file. In order to configure the channel plan template file you can go to utilities>Create/edit channel plan template file to configure/create your .cpt file. The same applies for LTE-PRO.

The last step for LTE study requirements is selecting the LTE study group for your area study details, then selecting the proper LTE study you would like to run.
