Allowing Local Area Connection in Web Browsers for Cirrus License Functionality

Introduction
EDX® SignalPro® users who log in to SignalPro with Cirrus License functionality may experience difficulties likely caused by web browser updates. To remedy or avoid this situation, this document provides procedures for configuring the two most popular browsers to allow Local Area Connection. This document describes configuration steps necessary for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. EDX recommends that users of all other browsers refer to associated Help information and online reference material concerning their browser’s network connection settings.
Procedures
Choose between the following procedures according to your specific web browser:
Google Chrome
To allow Local Area Connection in Google Chrome:
Open Chrome.
Select the Google Customize and Control dots in the upper right, similar to the following, to display the Google Customize and Control options:

Privacy and security SettingsSelect Site settings.
Locate the browser site that launches when you attempt to log in to SignalPro.
Select the browser site.
Scroll to Local network access.
Select Allow.
Microsoft Edge
To allow Local Area Connection in Microsoft Edge:
Open Microsoft Edge.
In the address bar, type edge://flags/#local-network-access-check and press Enter.
In the list of flags, locate Local Network Access Checks, similar to the following:

Note: This tells Edge to stop checking and allow access.
Click Restart, similar to the following:
