Introduction
For the most flexible access to SignalPro, 30-day Prepaid Licensing allows you to pay up front for time logged in to SignalPro (usage days). Continual access makes this option attractive to those with varying workloads, including business developers, startup consultants, and evaluators.
SignalPro Definitions
Calendar day: Measured as 12:00 am to 11:59 pm in the usage location’s time zone
Note: If a customer’s potential usage locations span multiple time zones, the customer and EDX
Sales designate the governing time zone at purchase.Usage Day: Accumulated software interaction of an hour or more of clock-time
Examples:
1. If a customer accumulates 60 usage minutes in a given calendar day or over a span of
multiple calendar days, SignalPro considers that to be one usage day (60 minutes of
usage.)
2. If a customer uses the software for 58 minutes, SignalPro rounds up to 60 minutes
because 58 minutes surpasses the midway point of the 12th, five-minute bucket.
3. If a customer’s interaction with the software surpasses the 60-minute threshold required
to complete a usage day, SignalPro considers all subsequent activity on the same
calendar day to be part of the completed usage day.Usage hour: Accumulated software interaction of 12, five-minute buckets
Software interaction: Mouse- or keyboard-based interaction with SignalPro in the foreground
Study calculation time: Time required to complete any multipoint, route, or area study
Idle time: Any time SignalPro is open but not being used in a software interaction or study
calculation
Note: SignalPro does not consider Idle time to be product usage. Therefore EDX does not bill
the customer for Idle time.
The following SignalPro Contract Usage Graph illustrates the relationship between usage days and calendar days:
Buckets
SignalPro considers all usage to come in five-minute buckets starting from the timestamp of the first software interaction in a calendar day. Calendar days consist of no more than 288, five-minute buckets.
A five-minute bucket is the smallest increment of usage SignalPro recognizes.
SignalPro counts one hour of usage as 12, five-minute buckets. After recording the 12th five-minute bucket (one usage day), SignalPro considers further usage on that calendar day to be part of the same usage day.
Note: SignalPro tracks usage by serial number, not by user.
Examples
If a customer opens SignalPro, then switches tasks and leaves the application open in the background for an entire day, SignalPro records five minutes of usage for the opening of the application and considers the rest of the day as idle.
If a customer opens SignalPro for any reason and closes it within five clock minutes 12 times throughout a calendar day, then SignalPro records one usage hour – 60 (12 × 5) usage minutes – for the entire day. SignalPro considers any session of under five clock minutes to be five usage minutes.
If a customer accumulates 60 usage minutes over multiple calendar days, SignalPro counts that as one usage hour.
