Rectangle/Precise Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle
Rectangle/Rounded Rectangle
Select Draw>Rectangle or Draw>Rounded Rectangle and click on the point where you want to start drawing. Then as you move the cursor around, the rectangle will expand from that starting point. When the rectangle is the size and shape you want, click again to set the rectangle. Once drawn, if you right-click on the line, you’ll get a contextual menu where you can delete the Rectangle, change its color or save it to a file.
Precise Rectangle
Select Draw>Precise Rectangle, and you’ll be presented with the dialog box below. Drawing a precise rectangle requires a center reference point. This can be the location of the red rectangular cross-hair that appears on your map when you left-click, or can be a latitude and longitude. To use the cursor, click on Set center at cursor. Otherwise, the rectangle will be centered on the coordinates displayed in the top of the dialog box. Set your height and width then click OK to create your rectangle. You can also use the locate button as described under precise circle.
