EDX Wireless, Inc has introduced a new feature in SignalPro, the Live Coverage Contour. This feature is available to all users with the latest version of the software. This new feature will allow users to have a basic coverage contour follow their mouse point about the map and adjust appropriately as the user moves the mouse.
This feature can be found in SignalPro under the View menu. There is a new option called Liver Coverage Contour.
When a user clicks this option they are presented with a new menu that has several options allowing the user to adjust the contour coverage.
The Propagation Model selection allows the user to choose from the Basic Anderson2D(no clutter) option, or one of the propagation model rules that can be configured under the Propagation Model menu found under the Studies Menu.
The TX and RX height allow the user to adjust either the height of the Transmitter or the Receiver/Mobile Unit.
The Max Pathloss allows the user to adjust a maximum allowable pathloss for the contour.
The Frequency option allows the user to change the frequency to be utilized by the contour.
There is a checkbox allowing users to snap the Live Coverage Contour to valid towers/poles database locations. The user must first point to the towers/poles file in the Towers/Poles Databases menu, this is a separate menu outside of the Live Coverage Contour option.
Users can click to freeze the contour and then Ctrl+Click to remove the frozen contour.
Here is an example image showing two Live contours frozen down on the map and a third contour at the mouse location:
