In order to use directional antennas with EDX software, the data describing the directional pattern must be stored in a data file. This is an ASCII data file you can prepare yourself using a text editor, or using the antenna pattern file creation utility function (see Create/Edit an Antenna Pattern File). This file is a tabulation of azimuths and relative field or dB values that describe a directional antenna pattern. Both horizontal and vertical plane pattern values can be listed in the file.
