When customers first subscribe to Cirrus High-Resolution Data, they have to download the data for use on their computer. As part of the download, the there is a file called manifest.enc. This file contains the expiration date of the subscribed tiles, along with enabling the decryption of the cirrus data. It is tied directly to the Signal(Pro) serial number and cannot be used by other serial numbers.

When the subscription end-date comes up (2 weeks prior), the customer gets a notification when launching Signal(Pro) that their tiles are expiring. If the customer does not renew during this period, then their tiles wil will “expire” and the software will not read the files. Once they have renewed their subscription, and it has been updated in the WebUpdater, the customer will need to update their manifest.enc to be able to use the tiles, as the old manifest will still have the expired dates.
